While it is understandable to want the latest version of the tablet on the market, it isn’t a good idea to simply throw a tablet away when it is no longer a hot item. You can benefit other people by donating a tablet to India. In fact, donating a tablet in India can be the beginning of life-sustaining change for families all over the subcontinent.

How Can One Tablet Change Lives?

Every tablet donated can be used for many purposes. Recyclers can usually use many components to build new electronics and recycle waste. In India, however, tablets can be used to help young children in school get access to technology they do not have at home. Researchers estimate that only 50% of all Indian households have access to technology. Our children are being left behind in a technology-centered world, which means they will be at a disadvantage in achieving their goals in education and job training. By donating your old tablet to our organization, you are helping us grow children’s minds for the future.

How Can I Get Started?

If you have a tablet lying around, why not donate it to the Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust or the Ratna Global Foundation? You can learn all about where your donation will be used and how to prepare your tablet for shipment. We may also be able to arrange a pickup of your tablet at your home or office. If you need more information or wish to make another donation, reach out to us on Twitter.
